FTD Alec's 2025 Dynasty RB Rankings
Ranking running backs in dynasty is as challenging as it gets. Many running backs fall off a cliff when they turn 26, while some keep aging like fine wine, especially when they join the Eagles and Ravens. While I think my tiered rankings below are a good start for this offseason, let me preface them by saying one thing. NEVER aggressively trade for a veteran RB in February-April in dynasty leagues. The odds of getting burnt are too high. Every March, random free agent RB signings shake up depth-charts, but more importantly the draft in April reshapes everything. There is nothing more dangerous than trading for a Pacheco-type back in March and watching the Chiefs draft a running back in April. The rookie RB's can vault up based on landing spots, but where you see the most movement is from the assumed starters who fall. I love watching Devon Achane, I don't think the Dolphins will or should draft RB early. But what if they do? What if in round 1 they too Jeanty, or round two or three they took any of Hampton, Henderson, Judkins, or Johnson? Even though Achane is top 7 dynasty RB on everyone's rankings, don't get fooled into thinking a sub 190 lbs. 3rd round speedster can't be affected by the draft in April.
